INDIAN SOCIETY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION
DAVIET is institutional member (Degree Level) and student member for ISTE. Most of the faculty members are life members of ISTE. The Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) is national, professional, non-profit making society. ISTE is a National Organisation of educators in the field of Engineering & Technology aiming at producing quality professional engineers needed by industries and other organizations. DAVIET has also established ISTE chapter and student chapter which is actively involved in the manpower development activities.
A One Day Workshop titled "STOP WHINING AND START WINNING" was organized by Cutting Edge learning Systems on Wednesday, 16th July 2008 for all faculty members under the flag of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) Chapter as a part of Faculty Development Programme. This workshop aims at achieving a shift from an attitude of "focusing on the lack of resources" to an attitude of "focusing on doing the best with the given resources"
Expert Talk on EFFECTIVE TEACHING
An Expert Talk on "EFFECTIVE TEACHING" was organized on November 5th, 2005. Prof. Arun Kanda, Head, Centre for Educational technology, IIT Delhi, delivered a lecture on this burning topic. He stressed that in order to maintain the level of interest of pupils the teacher should generate their own example. "Make them laugh , Make them learn", shoould be the actual motto of Teaching
