Congress Sections

With the spread of globalization, humanity has benefitted from the advances in sciences and technology but still the question that remains pertinent is that whether science and technology has the potential and scope to uplift the humanity and reduce the social and economic divides or not. If the recent trends are an indication, then the answer is an emphatic yes. Modern day life has become so complex that a monolithic approach towards issues concerning our society won't suffice. We need to have an open mind and realize that a multi disciplinary approach, combining knowledge from diverse fields can provide answers to all our problems. The present congress aims to provide a multidisciplinary platform where people from varied backgrounds can present and discuss the minute trends in sciences, technology.

Objectives of the congress:

The present congress aims at fulfilling the following objectives:

  • To impart and share the knowledge, findings and ideas of research and development among academicians, scientists, engineers, researchers and industry experts from all around the nation.
  • To encourage individuals and organizations to take up quality research so that an all exclusive and sustainable growth of communities can take place.
  • To explore various thrust areas in the field of humanities and management & bridge the gap between theory & practice.

Outcome of the congress:

The 22nd Punjab Science Congress aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Science, technology and management. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, concerns and practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted through innovation, technology and management.

22nd Punjab Science Congress 2019 Hosts Five Sections:

Section - A Agricultural Sciences and Food and Sugar Technologies
Section - B Biosciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology etc.
Section - C Pure and Applied Chemistry, Pure and Applied Physics, Mathematical Sciences and Nanotechnology
Section - D Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Section - E All branches of Engineering & Technology, including Textile Technology and Computational Sciences.

The Authors are requested to submit their original contributions for any of the above referred sections. Not more than two papers either alone or with co-authors could be submitted. Two copies of the abstract (maximum 250 words) formatted on MS word (A4 size) in Arial font, letter size 9, in single line spacing with 5 cm right and 3 cm left, top and bottom margins 1.5 cm be submitted before December 31, 2018. The hard copy must be accompanied by soft copy on CD. Abstract should compulsorily be sent through electronic mail to pusc@davietjal.org as an attachment in MS word format with above specifications. The name of the presenting author should be marked with an asterisk (*) along with email ID. The decision for oral/poster presentation will be strictly followed as per approval of the technical review committee. Papers screened by the committee may either by published in the seminar proceedings or selected papers may be published in the special issue of Journal of Punjab Academy of Sciences as per norms.
