The Government of India has decided to address the shortage of skilled manpower through an ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) project. The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) for technical institutes to impart skill-based training to the students during the off-college hours.
DAVIET SKILL CENTRE has been incorporated on Dec, 2016. An initiative by DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology to promote industry oriented skills under AICTE-PMKVY project in line with ‘Make in India’ and ‘Skill-India’ mission in young people ranging from 10th class onwards to Graduate/post graduate in engineering & science and Industry employees at middle and senior level. The developed skills will help the young aspirants to advance their career and enhance their employment opportunities in various sectors of industry.
DAVIET SKILL CENTRE has been instrumental in creating knowledge related to skill development in the field of Automation and Manufacturing sector. To further enhance its competency in skill development, This initiative of DAVIET SKILL CENTER is supported by National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The trainings will be conducted for various NSQF levels mainly for level 3 to level 4 to produce Industry relevant manpower in accordance with National Occupational Standard/ QPs defined by various SSCs for respective Industry segment.
The trainings under this initiative are to be conducted in accordance with National Occupational Standard (NOS), and expected to meet the requirement of Industry sectors such as Automobile & Auto Components Sector, Machine Tools etc.
