DAVIET Shines at IKG PTU Youth Festival 2023

 

DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET) has yet again showcased its cultural prowess by putting up an outstanding performance at the prestigious IKG PTU Youth Festival North Zone 2023. The institute’s students brought home a multitude of medals and accolades across various cultural, literary, theatrical, musical, and artistic competitions.

DAVIET’s Bhangra team clinched the gold medal, with Divjot Singh winning the Best Dancer award for his mesmerizing performance. The Gidha team, led by Mansumeet Kaur, who was honored with the Best Dancer award, also bagged the gold medal.

The institute’s literary talents shone brightly, with SukhdevChabhra winning gold in the Elocution competition, Gurdarsan Singh triumphing in Poem Recitation, Mitanshi Sharma securing bronze in Story Writing, and Navkaran and Hardik Sharma winning bronze medals in Poem Writing and Essay Composition respectively.

The theatrical ensemble captivated the audiences, with their one-act play, mimicry, and mime performances securing second position, while the institute’s skit performance earned a commendable third place.DAVIET’s musical virtuosos left an indelible mark, with Shivansh clinching gold in the Western Solo competition and ShauryaSoni triumphing in Light Vocal Indian, Group Indian, and Western Group Song categories.

Furthermore, the institute’s fine arts students displayed their artistic brilliance, with SayanMondal capturing in the on-the-spot painting competition, Prabhjot Singh claiming the top spot in poster making, and Vishakha winning silver in mehndi artistry.

DAVIET’s remarkable achievements at the Youth Festival 2023 reflect the institute’s unwavering dedication to fostering a holistic educational environment that nurtures talent, celebrates diversity, and empowers students to excel in various spheres of life.

CHARISMA : DAVIET JALANDHAR UNLEASHES TALENT AND SPIRIT ON FRESHERS

 

Celebrating the vibrancy and talent of its first-year students, DAVIET Jalandhar hosted CHARISMA , a spectacular Fresher’s Party. The Fresher’s Meet is not just a celebration but a crucial initiation into college life, marking the beginning of a journey filled with learning, growth, and friendships. CHARISMA  provided a platform for the students to display their diverse talents and creative expressions, setting the tone for an exciting academic year ahead. Mr. Inderbeer Singh, (IPS) DIG PAP Jalandhar was the Chief Guest, while Justice N.K Sood (Rtd), Vice President, DAVCMMC, New Delhi was the Guest of Honour.

The evening was a vibrant showcase of DAVIET’s rich cultural diversity. Captivating performances by the institution clubs left the audience spellbound, including Bhangra and Giddhathe dance clubs, western dance acts byAshwa Club, and soulful musical performances by Strings and Sargam. Each act celebrated the varied talents flourishing on campus.
