The department has witnessed excellent placements, with its students placed in public and private sector corporations, including Kirloaskar, SOFCON, Boston Cables, Spectrum Planning Services, Beta Softwares, Power Systems, Wipro. The department is foreseeing even healthier and lucrative round of placements for its Batch of 2013. The prominent firms have offered very handsome pay packages.

Many students of the department often decide to pursue post-graduate studies, showing their ability to continue research in diverse areas. This illustrates the success of Department in providing a solid base for serious research and development work. Our students are often accepted into the best institutes in India such as IIT’s. A number of students of the department have been selected by Foreign Universities of repute for Higher Studies.

INDUSTRIAL WEEK

The Electrical Department organized “INDUSTRIAL WEEK from Feb 20- Feb 24” in collaboration with NPTI (NATIONAL POWER TRAINING INSTITUTE) which is an Indian Public Centre undertaking engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.

In collaboration with Kirloskar, this is an Indian conglomerate head quartered in Pune, Maharashtra India. Mr. Sudhir Ghera Director Operations IEC, Kirloskar Gensets delivered a talk on role of quality in entrepreneurship. Where he stressed that the various possibilities available for entrepreneurship ventures.

Er. Sourabh Mahajan, Asst. Director NPTI Nangal gave us knowledge about power generations, various machines used in generating power like turbines, generator, motors etc.
