The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering had celebrated Engineers day based on the theme “The life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam”. Around 110 students from various departments had enthusiastically participated in various events viz. Poster Making, Tech Tambola and Tech Sharaj organized on engineer’s day. The winners of the event were Raghav & Meenu, Parnika & Gurleen (Tech Tambola) and Harleen & Chitwan(Tech Sharaj) respectively.

The winners of the events were given prizes & certificates at the validating ceremony which includes the heart pondering speeches on the life of Dr. M. Vishveshvarya & Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Dr. Neeru Malhotra, HOD of ECE stressed upon the achievements of the Department& wished budding engineers a very bright future. The Event went successful under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar who addressed the students on the importance of engineering & how Discipline & Positive stress can help in the corporate life. The event was overall a Great Success.

The objective of Prisma is to create a horizon where great minds meet and work together for emerging technology. It is a strong effort towards recognizing and supporting the new ideas which will revolutionize the current trends in technology. Here it intends to provide a platform for exploiting talents and aspired to create an ambience for a culture of technical development.

PRISMA, the community of –Dynamic, Intellectual, Pragmatic, Innovative and Technically extraordinary DAVIETians was incorporated with the divine vision of creating tech-oriented professionals.

Its here where several masterminds put in their contribution in the field of technology to provide apt solution to the common software as well as hardware problems. This society has been organising several technical events since its inception, to foster fresh talent as well as the experienced to come ahead and show their caliber. Not only does it provide a platfom to participate but also to learn and teach while you are a member of it.

So, “Learn and Make others Learn” is its strategy. The pride of DAVIET- PRERNA, of which we all boast of is an outcome of PRISMA itself. Staff and students put in joint efforts to attain the common objective i.e. Self, Social & Technical Development because we believe that the future lies in the hands of such technocrats.

ME & CE Departments

Mechanical & Civil Engineering Department has started a consortium, C2M-Consortium of Civil and Mechanical Engineers, to enhance the presentation & communication skills of the students. The consortium organizes different technical events like paper presentations, technical exhibitions,design contests, Model making contests, Poster making, technical debates, group discussions, personality development sessions, Quiz, etc.

Consortium also held expert talks and lectures of various academicians and industrialists. It also organizes short term courses to make faculty and students aware of new technologies and software’s used in the field of construction and management.

ECE & EE Departments


Society Of Innovative Electro crackers established in January 2013 under  the Guidance of Ms. Neeru Malhotra , Mr. Love Kumar, Mr. Navleen Singh Rekhi  which organizes various events like Quiz competition ,Technical test series , group discussion sessions, Poster making competition  etc. for the student of Electronics and communication department . The winner of various competitions honoured Certificate of Honour.

SKZ (Special Knowledge Zone) with the slogan “smart work through (ken)∞ = zenith of success” was fabricated to delve in them the factotum like capabilities which is the dire need of an hour invented to keep them in tune with day today knowledge. Not only technical know how but also their personal foibles are taken into considerations and various techniques are devised to ameliorate them. Various other student bodies like C3E (Consortium of Electrical and Electronics Engg) also exist which organize various technical events like paper presentation , poster making and technical debate.
