This Department has established well equipped and modern kitchen, restaurant, and housekeeping, front office labs to upgrade basic technological skills of the first year students. The fundamental laboratories in the department are:


The basic training kitchen is fully equipped with modern kitchen appliances. This kitchen is used primarily to introduce the art of cookery to the students & it is launching pad for the new comers. Familiarity with the art & science of cooking is indeed is an essential part of hospitality operations.


For a layman, a restaurant can be understood as a well-designed, consumer-friendly place where people sit and order food which is served to them by a waiter or a waitress. The Basic Training Restaurant is one of the unique features of our college. It is a proper restaurant equipped with all the cutlery, trolleys and equipment of a luxurious restaurant. The restaurant is laid out to perfection and is the site where students are introduced to the versatile subject of Food & Beverage Service. With a capacity of over 36 covers, this restaurant entices the students and captivates them into the aura of the hotel industry.


Housekeeping is systematic process of cleaning the guest room as well as the public areas. Housekeeping is most important function in any hotel. Housekeeping maintains the standard of the hotel property and makes it different from other property. The course is designed to understand the detail process of housekeeping.


In this department students are taught about guest handling which includes providing general  information about hotel to the guest, checking in the guest ,checking out , concierge etc.


In addition to main library, a Departmental Library has also been set up which has books covering diverse research areas. Our departmental library has front office, food production, food and beverage service, housekeeping books which a student can go and take the advantage of.
