The Institute has had the honor of hosting and interacting with many eminent visitors, a fact which served to add great co-curricular and extra-curricular value to the teaching-learning process.
Dr. Manu Dogra, Associate Professor, PU SS Giri Regional Centre, interacted with the students and discussed the various career paths within the field, highlighting key roles, industry applications, and future trends. He emphasised on the design, analysis and manufacturing of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering is widely applicable across a variety of industries, it presents a wide range of job prospects. He also gave an overview about the various key fields in which mechanical engineers might pursue: Automotive Industry, Aerospace, Energy Sector, Robotics and Automation, Manufacturing, HVAC, Biomedical Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Research and Development (R&D).

Mr. Tuli Director (Operations) International Tractors Limited (ITL), Hoshiarpur, had an interactive session with the budding technocrats and managers. He stated that the technology is changing at rapid speed, and the academia should ensure that their curriculum and pedagogy remains updated as per the requirements of the former. In addition, the students should also learn management skills apart from technical expertise, so that they should be able to translate their technical expertise in real-time success stories. Mr. Tuli also laid stress on sharing of knowledge and called upon the students to form tech-networks comprising of both the seniors and juniors, for sharing of ideas and expertise.

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, a Best Professor awardee and an accomplished researcher with numerous published research papers in high impact factor journals, in his orientation address spoke about the smart materials especially its applications. He apprised the students about research avenues in Nanotechnology and smart materials. He enlightened the students about semi conductor materials & their chemo sensor applications. He also gave an overview to the students about engineering education system in South Korea & apprised them about opportunities available in PG & doctorate courses in South Korea for the young technocrats
